LDU Quito Defeats Pachuca in Club WC Semi
By: Matt | December 17th, 2008
LDU 2 Pachuca 0
So you might be asking yourself, what does Liga’s 2-0 victory over Pachuca in the CWC Semi have to do with Hull City? Is Phil Brown about to poach some hot young prospect from the South American champs? Did Geovanni play there before coming to Europe? Well the answer my loyal readers, is……nothing.
Nothing to do with Hull City that is, but since I spent the summer/fall of 2004 playing with LDU’s u-20 side at their Pomasqui training ground in Northern Quito, I had to give my boys a shout out. Special mention goes to attacking middie/winger Pedro Larrea, an 89th minute sub in the 2-0 victory over Pachuca. A Liga product through and through, I lost count of the times he blew past me out on the wing during training matches. United’s full backs will be a bit taller order I’d say, but hopefully he can come on late and have an impact.
So pride will be the dominant emotion when the U take to the pitch for the final this weekend, which for all intents and purposes will be against Fergie’s troops. C’mon the Whites!!!!
Check out the goals from the match here.

Well, it happened what nobody expected to see but Mexico defeated Ecuador in America Cup 93 and in Japan 2002, now LDU Quito has won 2 mexican soccer teams therefore it is the chance to win the next match i hope Manchester because England defeated Ecuador in Germany 2006.
