Transfer Rumors – FA Cup
By: Matt | January 14th, 2009Zinedine Kilbane
So just about everyone and their brother had been reporting that Kevin Kilbane and Luis Boa Morte would sign for the Tigers imminently, and at least one so far is now seems confirmed, with Irish winger/fullback Kilbane set to begin training with the club this week after nearing completion of talks with Hull.
Now I do like this signing, even if he is fairly old (32), because it gives depth in a place where there hasn’t been much of it, out on the left. He can be employed as either a left back or winger, and is a good crosser of the ball. So no complaints from me on this one. Loads of experience, and if we can get more service from the left nothing but good can come of it. Sorry Peter Halmosi, I like you as a player, but no hurt in competition for spots.

The Tigers are currently nil-nil with Newcastle at half time, of what seems to be a pretty dour affair. If we can get the win it will be a huge boost considering recent fortunes, and especially with Millwall waiting as the opponent in the next round. No offence to the Lions of course.
Oh yeah – remember the whole Hull vs Newcastle kit fiasco? Well it was sorted out by Hull wearing their all white away strip from last season for the trip to St. James Park. Was kinda hoping for some crazy one-off third strip in neon orange or something but oh well.
