Week In Review

So first off, cheers to you Glen Johnson, because that was an absolute howitzer. Wow. Alas, Deano came off the bench to secure the 2-2 draw with Portsmouth, so I’ll gladly take that one. With two draws in a row there is no need to to hit the panic stations as of yet, so steady on and the three points will start coming again.
International Action
In international news I was able to watch Caleb Folan and Paul McShane live in a cracking affair versus Poland at a raucous Croke Park. Folan I thought played very well, although he could have been more decisive in front of goal. He did setup Blackburn’s Keith Andrews for Ireland’s second and played well overall. McShane on the other hand didn’t really impress (as he doesn’t seem to ever do in the Ireland shirt), and the Irish supporters liken him to a ginger Titus Bramble. Oh well. In other international news, Marlon King scored for Jamaica, Myhill shutout the Danes, while Halmosi helped the Maygars to a win over Northern Ireland. And Geovanni for Brasil….just kidding. But I shouldn’t be.
Off to the Potters
Next up for the Tigers is Stoke away, which will be very interesting indeed. In the match up of Rory Delap’s catapult arms versus Geovanni’s genius, I am going to take Geo, but you never know with Stokes’ ‘football’ (kick the sh*te out of opponent; score on long throw) at home, they can be tough. Literally.
